Associate in 科学 in Teacher Preparation

The Associate in 科学 Teacher Preparation (ASTP) degree gets you started to transfer to a four-year institution to earn a Bachelor of 科学 degree in education. The ASTP is a degree that is appropriate for students who are interested in becoming K-12 teachers in 科学, 技术, 工程, and 数学 (STEM) fields.

The ASTP works through the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA) for University of 北卡罗莱纳 System schools and the Independent Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (ICAA) for 北卡罗莱纳 independent colleges and universities to enable transfer with junior status for graduates with the degree. Graduates must obtain a grade of “C” or better in each course and an overall GPA of at least 2.7对4.0 scale in order to transfer with a junior status. 课程 may also transfer through bilateral agreements between institutions.
